How it works

A simple, reliable flow—from request to completed payment:

  1. Initiate
    Your client portal sends a request to the Payment API, specifying what the payment is for and which payment methods to offer.
  2. Generate
    The Payment API creates a unique, ready-to-use payment link with the correct configuration.
  3. Present
    The payment window is displayed to the end user—embedded or redirected from your portal.
  4. Pay
    The user completes the payment using their preferred method.
  5. Confirm
    The result is shown instantly in the payment window and can optionally redirect back to your portal.
  6. Notify
    Payment results are securely delivered to your system via webhook.

The Payment Portal supports both desktop and mobile-first payment experiences:

  • Desktop:
    Users can scan a QR code (e.g. Swish) directly from the screen
  • Mobile:
    Seamless redirection into the payment app (Swish or Vipps/MobilePay) for fast completion
